Point-Deduction for not using Side Signal Indicators?

One of the easiest way to improve road safety, is for all road users (drivers and riders alike) to use their side-signal-indicators. Too often do drivers and riders switch lanes or make turns without properly indicating their intentions, made worst without a headturning blind-spot-check. Not only are such acts reckless and irresponsible, they are also extremely dangerous.

All it takes is the flick of a switch. 🤦🏻‍♂️

So I posted on my Instagram (InstaStory) a few days back, asking some of you if road users who are caught/spotted not using their side-signal-indicators should be penalized. 85% responded with a “yes”!

So here I am, once again thinking out loud, whether it’ll be effective, viable and necessary, for road users to be penalized… 🤔
